For AI agents
Koinize's data, for agents and programs
Koinize is a data website about cryptocurrencies: live figures for the 500 largest coins (CoinGecko, every 30 minutes), a year of daily closes, the exchanges (CoinGecko, daily) and the chains with their DeFi value locked (DefiLlama, hourly), and guides in 21 languages. Every answer says where its figures come from (source, source_url) and when (as_of: the source's time; read_at: when Koinize read it): give both when you quote a figure, and link the url (the Koinize page of the coin, exchange or chain). Money is in US dollars. Use search to find a coin, exchange or chain by name or symbol; get_coin takes Koinize's id, CoinGecko's id, a symbol or a name.

An error is {"error": "..."} with status 400 (a bad parameter) or 404 (no such coin, exchange, chain or article).
How the figures are dated
sourceandsource_url: where a figure comes from (CoinGecko for coins and exchanges, DefiLlama for chains).as_of: the source's own time of the figures, where it gives one;read_at: when Koinize read them. Coins are read every 30 minutes, chains every hour, exchanges daily.- Money is in US dollars; times are ISO 8601 in UTC. A day's close is its last price in UTC; today's is the latest read.
article_url: Koinize's guide to the coin or exchange, where there is one. The guides were written in 2023-2025, so figures in their text are as they were then.
